Depending on the weather we will determine if it needs to be taken to a cooler, where you will pick it up on your way home.
Bear Hunts
Spring is the season for Bear Hunts. The bears in our area are 50% color phase and with the population of bears in great condition every year in Idaho means your chance of harvesting a bear is EXCELLENT! We are also proud to be able to say that for the past three years running, our bear harvest rate is better than it ever has been!
WHAT TO EXPECT: This is a 6 day trip. If you are able to get to camp at a decent time, you will hunt your first day! Then hunt the next 5 days, and leave on your 6th day. All meals are included. We ask that you bring your personal gear, bed roll, and choice of rifle or bow (A more detailed list will be given upon booking). All our hunting is done over bait, the majority of them are in tree stands or ground blinds. The day typically starts with a nice home cooked breakfast, while our guides go and check baits and cameras. Bears typically in the spring time don't hit the baits until the afternoon, and our hunters will be in their tree stands or ground blinds.
Turkey Hunts
We have over 25 years experience hunting meriam and rio turkeys in Eastern Washington and Idaho. Most hunts are with a shotgun, we can accommodate archery hunters. We will provide meals and lodging. You will need to bring personal gear, bed roll, and weapon (a more detailed list will be given upon booking). Hunts are 3 days. If you are flying, we can arrange to pick you up and drop you off at the airport for an extra fee.
Hunting turkeys is quite the experience. Just how a bull elk can come in bugling, male turkeys (Toms) come in gobbling and strutting their stuff. We have taken clients of every age to hunt turkeys. The day begins about an hour before sunrise, we like to be in our selected area and set up, ready and prepared just as the sun peaks. We will take a break around noon, and finish the day with an evening hunt.
In Washington State you are allowed to take 3 bearded turkeys, one of which needs to be an eastern.
General season in Idaho is from April 15th to May 25th, no more than 2 bearded toms in the spring.
Cougar Hunts
Talk about an adrenaline rush! Imagine being in a truck or on snowmobiles with dogs. Then all of a sudden, the dogs start baying because they caught the scent of a cougar. That's when you know the chase is on!
WHAT TO EXPECT: This is a fully guided 5 day hunt. Majority of hunts will be in the snow, so please pack accordingly (a more detailed list will be given upon booking). We like to hunt right after a fresh snow, because their tracks will be fresh making your kill opportunity better. Hunts will be based out of either our wall tent camp or we will all stay at a hotel, all depending on weather. This is a 2 cat area and the second cat can be harvested in 7, 9 and 10 during the season dates.
