TOA operates north of Montana’s Glacier National Park in nearly 1300 square miles of wilderness, much of it behind provincial road closures, in the Kootenay mountains of southeastern British Columbia. We use a remuda of well-trained mountain horses to access the backcountry, and there are rustic but comfortable, well-stocked spike cabins interspersed throughout the hunting area for use as rut activity dictates.. Our elk hunts are 7-Day trips with five (5) full days of hunting…arrival the day before and departure the day after. Clients should plan to fly into Cranbrook, BC.
Bulls here sport racks with great mass and good tine length. An average bull here will score 280”—330”, but each season our clients kill a bull or two in the 340”—370” range as well. Price during this Special through the end of March is $5,500 for these productive Archery hunts. You will be into elk most days during your hunt. Non-Resident License, Elk Tag and GST are extra. While there is a 6-Point (on one side) minimum for bull elk during the rifle season, that restriction DOES NOT apply during the September 1--10 Archery Season. Historically, our archery elk hunts have proven extremely productive with annual success rates across the board of 65%--70%, and opportunities considerably higher than that.
